Santini is one of the oldest, family-run restaurants in London. The restaurant was established by Gino Santin in 1984 but is now run by his daughter Laura Santini, whose main focus is to take Santini into the future whilst maintaining the legacy her father created 40 years ago. Laura is among the world’s leading experts in flavour. Much of her passion for food came from her father Gino and her Italian ‘Nonna’. Laura is an award-winning author and has published four internationally acclaimed Cookbooks: Easy Tasty Italian, Flash Cooking: fit fast flavours for busy people, At Home with Umami and Pasta Perfect. The future and history of Santini coincide in our menu, curated by Laura herself, whilst incorporating signature dishes created by founder Gino Santin. This synthesis of the old and the new reflect our owner Laura’s extensive research and knowledge on regional Italian cuisine. Today, it remains an elegant and influential stalwart of the UK’s Italian restaurant scene, synonymous with authentic Italian food, premium quality ingredients and simple, understated and elegant surroundings. With style-a–plenty, we proudly showcase an al fresco terrace, a chic and atmospherically-lit restaurant, a bar and lounge area, and a sophisticated private dining room, making our restaurant a fantastic dining environment that focuses on style and comfort. Our regular guests include local residents and businesses, members of the UK and international royal families, captains of industry, UK and international prime ministers, presidents, politicians and embassies, celebrities and football legends. In fact, it is well known that Santini was Frank Sinatra’s favourite place when he came to London. A typical snapshot of a service would be young people, from local offices in Victoria, dining next to old, established British families, who use Santini as their neighbourhood restaurant. This is every day at Santini – pasta uniting all within a wider Santini family, built over 40 years. In many cases, our customers comprise of three to four generations within one family, for example many regulars from earlier years of the restaurant still come today with their children and grandchildren. Close to four decades of excellence, Santini is a local favourite Italian restaurant in Belgravia, and is surrounded by many of London’s top theatres and hotels, whose guests enjoy our hospitality all year round. The London production of Hamilton is currently playing at the Victoria Palace, and we have enjoyed a very good pre-theatre season due to the popularity of this production. We also have a strong take away business through the many take away platforms available to customers.
